A new product based on an idea from Accord Healthcare that was realised in close collaboration with Orange Plastics<\/h2>\nAn indispensable link in the Dutch healthcare chain, that is what characterises Accord Healthcare. Accord found a like-minded partner in the Orange Plastics team, who managed to convert its unique idea into a tangible product in a short time. Thanks in part to years of experience manufacturing plastic medical products, the specialists at Orange Plastics understood the requirements at a glance and were able to quickly provide Accord Healthcare’s stakeholders with sound advice and a production plan.<\/p>

Together on the way to a rewarding end product for rheumatism patients.<\/h3>

Together, the professionals from both organizations devised an aid tool that helps rheumatism patients remove the cap from a syringe without having to use much force.<\/p>

The patient places a syringe in its entirety into the slot in the plastic box and positions the syringe so that the cap of the syringe hangs behind a raised edge of the box. By then gently pulling on the syringe, the cap falls off the needle and the syringe is ready for use.<\/p>

For many rheumatoid patients, this is a useful solution that helps them inject medication. The plastic box is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), a type of plastic often used in the production of housings for electronics and medical equipment.<\/p>

Some examples of medical products to which Orange Plastics has made a significant contribution include blood collection tubes (HemCol), a monitoring system for pregnant women<\/a>, a monitoring system for pregnant women, and laboratory kits for microscope supplies.<\/p>
